In December, new President of the Louisiana District Attorneys Association (LDAA), Louisiana’s Third Judicial District Attorney John Belton (far right), was appointed as a member of the Board of Directors of the National District Attorneys Association (NDAA). On January 28 and 29, 2020, Belton and other District Attorneys attended the 2020 National District Attorneys Association Capital Conference, held in Washington D.C. The NDAA Capital Conference was an educational and networking event that allowed attendees to connect with members of the Administration, federal agencies and Capitol Hill lawmakers. Belton, and other DAs, had the opportunity to meet with Congressmen Ralph Abraham, Garret Graves, Mike Johnson, Cedric Richmond, and Senator Bill Cassidy (center) to discuss law enforcement issues.
